About Us

The mission of Thinking Out Loud is to bridge the gap between discipleship and apologetics. Addressing this gap involves challenging the notion that mere information is sufficient for Christian devotion. Just as it’s true to say that the strongest arguments are powerless against a hardened heart, so it is also true to say that a naive and sentimental devotion to Christ (no matter how sincere) will surely flounder in the face of a crisis. A holistic approach to apologetics will address the whole person. Our prayer is to cultivate mature faith by offering an in-depth exploration of Christlikeness in a post-Christian culture. Prioritizing depth over passion, refinement over relevance, and maturity over influence, Thinking Out Loud is committed to the notion that, in our post-Christian moment, nothing less than full-bodied faith will be convincing. In the words of Paul the apostle, “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. (Colossians 1:28)”
